Look for the pattern

Notice whether outbursts cluster around hunger, fatigue, or transitions. A snack, rest, or a simpler outing may prevent some difficult moments.

Offer a small choice

Keep choices manageable: “Red cup or blue cup?” Let your child have a little control while you hold important boundaries.

Keep the limit clear

Stop hitting or biting and move people out of harm’s way. Notice and praise specific helpful behavior once your child is ready. Talk with your pediatrician if behavior worries you.
