Parent Self-Care
What can I do when parenting feels overwhelming?
A small reset that fits inside a real day.
Quick Answer
A small reset that fits inside a real day.

Make the next few minutes smaller
First make sure children are safely supervised. Then choose one immediate need: water, food, a bathroom break, or a quieter place to sit. You do not have to complete an elaborate routine before you deserve care. If the to-do list is adding pressure, name the one essential task and let an optional job wait.
Ask for a specific kind of help
Try “Can you handle bath time while I eat?” or “Can you stay on the phone while I plan tomorrow?” A clear request is easier to respond to than a general wish for support. If someone is unavailable, consider a smaller version you can manage. Support can include a trusted person, a parent group, or a professional.
Notice when a reset is not enough
Persistent distress, difficulty functioning, or feeling unable to keep yourself or your children safe calls for real support, not another checklist. Reach out to a healthcare professional or urgent help when needed. The companion app’s two-minute self-care option is a convenience for daily planning, not mental health treatment. Your needs count even on days with no visible accomplishments.
Your next little win
Choose one idea that fits today. Keep what helps, adjust what does not, and leave room for your family’s needs.
